Hot Ginger Tea To Sooth A Head Cold

Hot Ginger Tea

Here is a great soothing tea for when that wicked cold hits.   The sweet spicy ginger tea can sooth a raw head.  The compound gingerol reduces aggravation of mucous films that line the nasal entries and the sinuses.

Ingredients

8 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger root
A Tsp of cinnamon
¼ cup of lemon juice
1 Tbsp. of honey
4 cups of freshly boiled water
A 1 quart glass jar

Directions

Put the ginger in a 1 quart glass and sprinkle some cinnamon. Pour gently boiling water it into the jug to cover the ginger. Soak (covered)for 30-40 minutes.  Strain.  Add honey and lemon and enjoy.  Breath in the steam between sips.
